Good morning, 

To begin, thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, and support. Kelli had the transplant surgery and we are waiting for the kidney to "wake up" There were some complications with her surgery which extended her time in the operating room but the team at Virginia Mason has been fantastic with her care. 

Kidneys that are transplanted tend to need time to "wake-up" and begin doing the work of clearing the blood of waste. Kelli has begun the process of taking anti-rejection medications and balancing of the new medications. I will say that her color looks fantastic and she has requested Starbucks this morning!
