Journal
This is Amy writing on behalf of my sister Jackie!
She spent her first night at home last night and is doing great. Jellybean was so happy to see her momma and snuggle in her lap for an evening of watching The Resident. Today has been awesome - she is up and about; we have a shower chair and supportive care supplies in the house and she's been managing her pain well despite the hospital forgetting to add Valium to her prescription list (we fixed that!). I fly out tonight and Julie flies out tomorrow morning. We have made a care calendar to help organize folks who may be flying in or otherwise coordinating events so someone can stay with Jackie during the day/night and help with Jellybean (her sweet terrier-hound-kangaroo pup).

We are so grateful for the incredible support, love, flowers, snacks, blankets, and everything Jackie's tribe has done for her - thank you all! She has a long road ahead (6-12 weeks in the c-collar, 3 months til halfway fused, 6 months til completely fused) but we know she will be back to climbing all the mountains in no time.
