Tim’s Story

Site created on March 9, 2021

Wanted to be able to keep everyone updated on Tim. He went into the hospital on March 4 with COVID. Below are the updates I share when I communicate with with the medical staff.

Thank you for all the love and support!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Shaun Gines

Hey there!

Realized (yet again) that I haven't updated recently, so I figured today would be a good day to do so since "THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE", and its May the 4th, so it seemed appropriate.

Since the last update we successfully celebrated 3 birthdays. One of which was Ethan, he turned 16. We issued him a challenge to get matching funds on his earned money over the next 6 months, he can then use those funds for the purchase of his first set of wheels!

Now, back to the patient. He listens mostly, although you know he can be stubborn. Had to get him back in line a few times 😂 . He has had a few follow up appointments, all of which have been good!

As you know from the last post, his kidney levels are nearing "normal" and will hopefully be released from the kidney doc's care. He also had an ultrasound (on his leg, no we're not expecting another kid HAHA) to check on the blood clot he had as a symptom of COVID. Happy to report that the clot is no longer there! WOOHOO!

Last week he had an echocardiogram to check on his heart function, still awaiting the official report from that, but the good news is since we did not hear from the doctors immediately, there isn't anything bad or life threatening to report.

Next week will bring an update around his check in with his PCP, assuming all will be good there. All in all otherwise, he's doing well, just needs his battery charged more often, sometimes runs out of zip when he tries to do too much. He's been reminded by numerous friends and family to continue to take it easy - although feel free to keep reminding him 😁

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled work day! Happy Tuesday!
