Taylor’s Story

Site created on April 25, 2018

Hello peeps. I’d like to thank everyone for your prayers and positive vibes. I am not one to post a lot of personal stuff on facebook, nor am I one to let many people in when I don’t want to worry them. So, to fill you in quickly on my condition. Upon returning from Daytona, a cyst the size of volleyball was found in my uterus. After 2 CT scans, blood work, and GI testing, they put me under to remove it. She removed a cyst the size of a rugby ball. This was a blessing in disguise as they found stage 4 appendix cancer. So the doc gave me a hysterectomy and an appendectomy with a little removal of my intestines. We now wait on a specialist to find the best course of action. Only 1 in a million peeps get this so there is not a lot of research or cases to go by, hence a specialist. I do need another surgery to put radiation on the tumors and remove all they can. We will not know anything more until the end of this 12+ hour procedure. We, as humans, have a large role to play in our own survival, but sometimes it is no longer in our personal hands. I am holding a Jack/10 suited. So I am going to ask for prayers and love before I even forego surgery again so the the outcome of this surgery will be a positive one.

Journal entry by Taylor Trumbauer

Thank you for well wishes going into my final surgery. I no longer have a gastric tube nor an Ostomy bag! The pain, however, is real. This being the last time they cut me open, I can start to get back to me.  There is still an open hole where the bag was, but that will heal.
