Newest Update

Journal entry by Stacey Jones

Last Friday I had my 3rd infusion, which ends the first cycle of 4. I had typed out an update and added a pic of my view. AND it disappeared. Did it all again and Bam! Gone! I was hoping to get back and update, but have not been feeling too well.

Soo.....I thought I would drop by real quick whilst I am on lunch to check in. I am trying to figure out the best way to get this rolling as a habit for both myself and my readers...so know that is my goal.

As for today...I feel much better than I had been in the last few days. I usually can power through most of what is going on until I get what I call The Trifecta, more than 2 or 3 side effects all happening at once. Technically, it is more than 3 side effects, but wasn't sure what you would call that? A Sectfecta? lol

Right now the side effects are manageable if they are around 2 maybe 3. The major ones are the traditional nausea, "gastro" issues (yes, diarrhea), and headaches. BUT there are some newer ones popping up.

On Monday my head was on fire! My scalp was irritated and red and buuuuurrrrrning. Yay! On my way to a glorious head of baldness! It was kinda annoying but I powered and did okay. Add to that this incredibly insane dehydration issue that kicked back in. Come Monday eve I had a hard time sleeping and ended up waking up with a scalding scalp, even more dehydration, "gastro" hitting, and then nausea came back after a nice break (they added some anti-nausea strong meds to my infusion). All of this turning into a healthy migraine. On my way to work these sharp bolts went through my head and the glare off of the rain was enough to make me even more nauseated. I could barely keep my eyes fully open with all the light. By 10am I couldn't handle it and had to head back home. I was supposed to grab groceries that eve and swung by Safeway to pick up a handful of essentials and almost didn't make it back home before cramps kicked in and got sick.

Thankfully got some electrolytes in me and that settled some of the headache. This is even after drinking so many ounces of water. Not sure what the deal with my body is....but dehydration has been a lifelong struggle, even hydrating. Even as a tyke I was admitted to the hospital to get fluids! And now...it seems I may have to check in mid-week for more fluids if the whole bag they added to my infusions only last a few days!

Lastly, last night a new thing popped up...the pain in the bones. Was Not Ready For That Weirdness. 😳

Yes, I was informed that it could happen and was ready for this possibility, but couldn't have imagined what it would feel like. It wasn't actually in my joints as I had thought. It was like in random spots, mid-bone. Legs, mostly. As far as the pain, I am not sure how to describe it yet, so I will after the next time. Thankfully, it was long or extensive. Still weird.

Anyway...woke up feeling oh man...so much better. I can still feel the dehydration lurking...and my scalp is still sore, which I am guessing will continue until there are no hairs left to expel. 😭

Well...there you go for now. I have so much to say and wish I felt like communicating more so I can share, but that has been such a struggle!

If you want the outline of the beginning, I did add that to my Go Fund Me page. I will try to add it here as soon as I can.

Stay awesome!!!!
Much loves...
Stace

Ps...maybe my next update I will add a pic and some info about it.
