Today marks one year since Tara's craniotomy and Carl's eviction!

Although the surgery was an important step that we anxiously waited to be scheduled and ultimately performed, it was one of the hardest things we have had to endure personally and as a family.

However - today is a celebration!

Most importantly, Carl's "remnants" are soundly asleep.    Tara has had two MRI's since completing chemo.  They were pretty identical and showed the cancer was dormant.    We invite you to join us in praying they stay that way for a very, very long time.  Heck - let's just say forever.    I would be in favor of that plan!

Her Oncologist was pleased with the treatment results achieved and put Tara on a schedule to be monitored every 4 months.  So no MRI or doctor visits until September.    Hurray!

Being off chemo certainly has a significant impact for the better, and although her Oncologist said she should expect to feel the effects for about six months,  Tara's stamina is slowly improving and making her feel a little more like her old self.

Thank you for continuing to care for my girl and hold her up through your prayers and support.

Enjoy your Summer.  Hug your loved ones.  Cherish life.

With love and much thanks,
Jan (aka Mom)

PS - the photo attached is a pic of Tara (in the middle) with a couple of her besties following a charity golf tournament  that was held in June .  The tournament host chooses an organization or person to help each year, and this year he chose Tara.   It was a beautiful day filled with smiles and generous hearts.   We are thankful to these beautiful ladies for their part in making it happen.
