Tara’s Story

Site created on February 3, 2023

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. There had been a Go Fund Me page started to help with medical costs associated with chemotherapy, radiation, and imaging expenses. Funds will also be used for fuel since we are driving 3 hours everyday for treatments and to help with businesses expenses since she is not able to work.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Tara Finkstein

Good Morning -

Updating from the procedure on the 13th.  It's been a little crazy.  Procedure went well, they were able to identify where the bleeding was coming from and correct it.  It appeared to be damage from the radiation.  They are able to see where there was actually a lot of damage to various areas from the radiation.  It was a rough 2 weeks following the procedure.  Lots of initial pain and then I got the flu which was a little worrisome with little to no immune system.  Everything knocked me down and took me out of work and life for the last two weeks.  I am still pretty tired and weak, but happy to be back at work and trying to get back on my feet.  Thank you for all the prayers, love and support.
