Welcome to Tanner’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportLast year at this time, we were learning that Tanner survived the impossible but still had a long way to go to recovery and there was a huge chance of more complications that could occur. He had a pretty significant brain bleed and the AVM could easily re-rupture during the first 3 days. Those first few days last year after his rupture were extremely difficult. There is no denying that all the prayers and thoughts helped Tanner. We cannot thank you enough for that.
Quick update too, Tanner had a diagnostic cerebral angiogram yesterday. This was done 6 months after his embolization and radiation as a normal procedure. Dr Youssef said that everything looked great and we should start to see the radiation work around 18 to 24 months. Waiting can be difficult sometimes, but seeing Tanner enjoy life makes the wait easier.
Attached are some recent photos. First picture is our dogs waking Tanner up in the morning. Second picture is Tanner playing a game with me waiting for his procedure yesterday. FYI, it is called Wavelength and it is honestly really fun. Third picture, we have 3 dogs for about another week or so. The third dog is my stepdaughter’s awesome dog Polar Bear or as we call her Pudda Girl. She sits on Tanner’s lap and reminds me of our old dog Gus. Tanner really loves that part.
Thank you all again for all your support and love.
