I was a little nervous and arrived 30 mins before I was due my first treatment said a little pray and headed in. They give you a small card that has a code to scan when you arrive. The waiting room was empty, i scanned my code and was told to go straight back to treatment area. The routine is to undress from waist up put a gown on,place you clothes in a locker and then head down the corridor to treatment area.
Ran like clock work! the patient came out I went in. The set my molded bean back on the table, I lay down and hold the handles above my head with my head turned away from the breast being treated. Then I was told to let them scoot me to the exact position. The ladies are lovely and fun, the radio was playing, the machine is not very loud and what seemed to take like only 5 mins and I was done. Never felt a thing! I can do this!

I did notice my breast is looking a little pink tonight in one place but so far no discomfort.

my second appointment with the surgeon went well, everything is healing as it should and I'll be back in Aug/Sept for next appoinment and follow up mammogram. She told me she will be following me for next 5 years and I'll be having regular mammogram and scans until then.
I am tired and falling asleep the minute I sit down in an evening from like 7pm, but I'm doing good during the day and still working. I'm taking it one day at a time and counting all the blessings i have in my life. While I haven't been able to lift I've been working early in a morning along side my aide, who by the way is wonderful and a little bossy when it comes to not letting me over do it lol (shes the best!)
