Journal entry by Tammy Raulerson

Tomorrow is my LAST radiation!!  Yay!!

Last Thursday and Friday were radiation #3 & 4.  They went well.  Thanks to the generosity of some long-time fiends, we were able to stay in The Woodlands rather than driving back and forth.

On Friday, we headed to NASA to meet up with our friends/family from Camp Quality for a weekend of socialization and fun!!  I was so excited to see 4 of my 6 campers and their families and 3 of my companions!!  I love my kids, companions, camp staff and all the families!!  I am eager to get back to planning for upcoming camps.

I have to brag on Michael.  Since I had radiation Thurs and Fri, I was tired and not feeling my best.  He pushed me in Tacey’s wheelchair all over NASA without the least little complaint.  Tacey was off with her friends having a blast (Pun intended😜.). It was so great to see her having a carefree weekend with some of her dearest friends.

Next week, we meet with genetics to hear everything they learned from the pathology of my tumor and the other tissue.  We will learn about next steps, implications for Tacey, my nieces and other family.  As always, we are expecting to hear all is well!!

Some days we are all a little more tired, cranky, worried, and so on.  Thankfully, we normally take turns with these different emotions.

Recently, I sent this message to Michael when he was having a rough day:

Everything is going to be okay!!  God has held us in His arms for 20+ years. He isn’t going to drop us now!!  I know what I need to do to be sure I stay on top of things. As soon as I am healed and back on my feet from this, I will start dealing with one thing at a time. We will set up payments and get the finances taken care of. It really will all be okay!

As a lot of couples do we have our issues at times, but I can’t imagine going through the past 34 years and all the challenges without you!  You have been so awesome taking care of me!! Love you!!

I no longer say God has us in the palm of His hand.  He has us lovingly wrapped in His ARMS!!

Thank you for standing in the gap with us and following us on this crazy, chaotic journey we call life!!
