Journal entry by Robert Carter

Well, we've had a rough few weeks. First the recent ice age and the loss of power and water from that. Thankfully, my nephew Jonathan and his fiancée Linnea took us in for a couple of weeks while out apartment complex worked to get power and water restored. They were a real blessing when we needed it. Then just as we get back into our apartment, Tammy starts having major pains and other issues so that we ended up at the ER at Medical City in Lewisville on Friday February 26th. She was tested for covid and the results came back positive. Since she is also a cancer patient they went ahead and admitted her to the hospital to try to get her over all of this. Since she had covid, no visitors were allowed during her stay. I tested for covid on the following day, and a few days later got the results that came back positive for covid19. I had been feeling overly fatigued, tiring too easily, and getting winded too easily, but hadn't thought anything of thinking it was just the stress of everything catching up with me. I then had to inform my job who told me that I had to quarantine from the office for 14 days, or until a negative result came back from a covid test. I've been doing what work I can remotely from home and I should be able to get back to the office on Monday the 15th.

Tammy was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. They said that she has to self quarantine for at least another 10 days. She is still very weak and still in a lot of pain which they are managing with painkillers that only seem to work for a very short period. Chemo and radiation have been put on hold until she is fully over this mess. I have to take her in for lab work tomorrow, Monday the 8th. Plus I'll still be working from home for another week.

As always, we really appreciate everyone's support, good vibes, good thoughts, and prayers. And we have been overwhelmed with the amount of financial assistance we have received from friends and family. We have started using these funds to help pay for some of the medical bills that have already hit us. It has been a truly humbling experience to see what everyone has been willing to do for us during this journey.

Some people have asked for our mailing address as they prefer that over doing it online. That is fine also. Just text or PM one of us for the address.
