Journal entry by Tami Zigelhofer —
I'm doing much better! I spent a year battling cancer, but I won!!
I feel like God never left my side as I went through it. I'm thankful for a second chance at life. I could not have done it without my amazing family and friends! My husband, Jason, could not have been a better support. I ❤️ you even more, Honey!
Almost all of the side effects have gone. Only a small amount of neuropathy left on my left foot. Hair is slowly growing back. To make lemonade out of 🍋 🍋, I colored my growing head fluff a bright breast cancer cure pink!
A surprising silver lining: during chemo they give you high doses of steroids. Because of this, my chronic hip pain went away, and most of my chronic joint pain as well. It has been a wonderful reprieve from the terrible pain of walking stairs. Crazy, right?
Feel free to leave a comment or ask a question. And don't forget to check your breasts!
