Talia’s Story

Site created on May 23, 2023

Talia began feeling sick the week of May 14th, and she initially thought it was a simple cold. As symptoms worsened, she was admitted to the hospital, where they identified that she was suffering from a complicated reaction to a new medication meant to ease arthritis related to her Crohn's disease.  The severe allergic reaction became Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and has now worsened to a more serious version known as Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). Right now, Talia is unable to communicate with friends and family to a large extent, so we hope this site can help keep everyone updated on how she's doing.

Talia's first few days home have been great and each day she's able to do a little more.  The road of recovery will still be long and I know so many of you near and far want to help out.
