I (Beverly) am writing to let you know that Sylvia's "gamma-knife" radiation treatment (mentioned in the previous CaringBridge post) will take place on the morning of June 3rd, six days from today.

 

Sylvia's understanding of what her neurological radiologist told her is that she's in for fifteen minutes of intense pain at some point during the procedure, a prospect she doesn't look forward to.  We ask for your thoughts and prayers -- for her, that her fears be alleviated, and for those administering this intervention, that they be able to achieve all that they are trained to do.  

 

We have purchased airline tickets to travel to Maine,(departing Indy on June 23, and returning on July 4) where our younger son Robin and his wife Ahrim will be participating in the Bowdoin International Music Festival.  We pray that Sylvia's health will indeed allow us to make the trip.
