Suzie’s Story

Site created on August 16, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Back in June I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer that was HER2 positive. I have since had the Tumor removed and both the margin around the tumor and the lymph node they took were clear so the cancer has not spread!  I am very thankful that they caught it early and I’m doing everything I can to ensure that this is a one time event.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Suzie Noor

Today is the day….The 6th and Final Chemo is underway. I am so looking forward to being done with this part!! The Dr cut out the Carboplatin (one of the Chemo meds) for this round so hopefully that will reduce some of the ugly side effects I have had that have seemingly gotten worse each round because of the cumulative effect. Any reduction in side effects will be very welcomed!!

Now onto the next steps. I will continue to get Herceptin IV (to inhibit the HER2 protein) once every three weeks for one year. There will hopefully be few side effects from this. I will also begin Radiation on December 12 which will be daily for 4 weeks and I’ll also start my Daily Estrogen blocker pill that I will take for 5 years.

It feels so good to be able to check a completion box, which means I’m heading in the right direction. Thank you all so much for the love and support!! I couldn’t do this without you 😘
