Suzanne’s Story

Site created on April 25, 2018

On February 20th Suzanne was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). After spending 32 days in the hospital, she came home and was happy to be in remission. At the time, we weren't certain of what was to come after that, but after meeting with her transplant doctor last Monday, we now have a plan for the next few months. She goes back to Medical City Ft Worth Monday, April 30th,  to receive the first of two rounds of 5 days of chemo followed by 4-6 weeks at home. Following both rounds of chemo, she will then go to Medical City Dallas to have a bone marrow transplant.
