Susan’s Story

Site created on August 1, 2018

#2 is our #1!

Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer July 2018. She will have chemotheraphy treatment for the next five months beginning August 7.  In early January, she will have a double mastectomy. The type of cancer Susan has is aggressive - but they've caught it early. The other great news is this type of cancer has a low recurrence rate.

We will provide regular updates on this site to include ways in which you can help Susan and her family!

Journal entry by Jill Petsel

I just got a text from Susan: the tumor is gone!!! This is cause for celebration!!

The first round of chemo was intended to kill the sucker and any cells that couldn't see. She will now undergo weekly treatments to ensure the kill everything. She is still scheduled for surgery in January for the double mastectomy.
