Journal entry by Susan Conley —
The patient has landed. Sue arrived back at 19th Street this morning. It was an uneventful taxi ride home until we got out, Sues knees decided not to cooperate and she would have gone down had Michelle (Thanks again Michelle) not been with us to help hold her up. Got her in - cup of tea and nap later she's still shaky but a lot better. Eating (still a bit of a chore for her) sleeping and little walks (to begin with anyway) are the way forward. Sloane Kettering who we cannot say enough good things about, brilliant in every way, have a visiting nurse service as follow up care so that's reassuring as well.
Shes delighted to be home, I'm delighted to have her.
Thanks for all the support we've gotten throughout this ordeal, it truly makes a difference.
Sue is going to have a lot of downtime over the next few weeks so I'm going to suggest you contact her directly rather than through me from now on. I won't be updating anymore.
Our sincere thanks to everyone again.
Over and out.
