Susan’s Story

Site created on June 26, 2018

I recently was diagnosed with a solid Pseudopapillary tumor on the head of my pancreas.  It is such a blessing that it was found by accident because the chances of it being malignant are low and it has not spread.  Unfortunately, it has to come out and the surgery is a very long procedure and a hard recovery.  The surgery is scheduled for July 9th at 7 AM.  I have been so overwhelmed with the out-pouring of prayers, well wishes and love from so many people.   I am lucky to have such a great group of people who care for me and Hank.  In order to get the word out on my progress, we created this website for my parents to send updates during the procedure and recovery.  With so many people reaching out, it would be too much for them to contact everyone.  Thanks so much for caring and your thoughts and prayers are appreciated and needed.  I've got this, I just pray Hank will get through this without being too upset.
