The condo was eerily quiet this morning like it was at the beginning of the week.  Adjusting to this new life will take time. I think I have received all the addresses and I am ready to begin writing the thank you notes. I did it the way Susan would have wanted. I set up a database typing in all the names, addresses, what, where, amount, and a column for when the thank you was sent. I look at it and it makes me feel good!!

Shiva went well except for the glitches with the Google Meet. I apologize to those that could not get into the meeting and were happy to see those that could. We had a few visitors. Several of Susan's co-workers and former co-workers from the clinics came for a visit. I love hearing "Susan" stories. Susan was not shy about sharing almost everything from her day. I knew a lot about what they were sharing, and it really made me feel good that Susan was loved and appreciated by her co-workers. 

I know that I will have happy tears and sad tears as the days move ahead. My hope is that the happy tears will far outnumber the sad tears. I want to thank everyone for your care and support, love, and friendship, for both Susan and me.  I really appreciate that you have allowed me to express myself through Caring Bridge. Susan was right. She wanted me to start this journal at the beginning. Initially, it became much easier to keep everyone informed of what was happening to Susan. In the end, it became a way for me to express my feelings, a way to vent about a life gone too soon. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey, one I hope you will not have to take for many years to come.  When you do, Susan and I will be with you, to empathize with you along the way.

Please remember Susan and honor her legacy... Family, Friends, and Service. These are the ideals that Susan lived for... Family, Friends, and Service!!
