Journal

The first week of March marked my 3-year anniversary of official diagnosis.  Wow!  Although I don't put much significance on my official "diagnosis date," it does seem to be important as a mile-marker in the medical research world.  (In hindsight, I was probably within days or weeks of dying by the time I was officially diagnosed with a biopsy... I really could have been medically diagnosed 5 months prior!)  I should save my thoughts on diagnoses and prognoses for another time.  But, as you remember, I was never given a prognosis... rather, under odd circumstances during my VT heart episode, I was told that I had a 51% chance of living 1 year past my cancer diagnosis date.  Praise the Lord, He had better plans for me!

I also just passed the 3-year Anniversary of my tumor being pronounced "un-resectable" (inoperable).  That is the more significant milestone for me personally because, unbeknownst to me (thankfully!), that's when word of my soon-demise spread among all my family, friends, and co-workers.  They grieved for me... and prayed for me, A LOT!  Now, 3 years forward, I can say for sure our Mighty God answered the many prayers -- and in a big way!

In my previous post, I mentioned that Kimberly Stelzer and I had just recorded a testimonial video about our experiences with cancer -- she as a caregiver for Doc Kellogg, and I with my own cancer journey.  I'm happy to say that the footage has finally been edited and is available as a 4-part series on YouTube.  The first video tells how my story and Doc's story merged... and diverged.  The other three videos dive more into my personal journey (including the VT heart attack and colostomy, plus sharing about all the people who blessed me in so many ways).

The videos are some of the first to be posted on a brand new YouTube channel, @AzureWell.  It has been amazing to see how my journey has played a role in God's bigger plan to bring healing to so many others.  After my successful treatment at Envita and the tumor removal at Providence Portland Hospital, the threat of the cancer returning was very real.  In Spring of 2022, I had indications that the cancer might be trying to come back.  But, the Lord worked it out for me to meet and work with an exceptional doctor who knew how to help me get my body truly back in balance, so the body could rid itself of the cancer on it's own.  And from there, amazing opportunities have come together in ways that demonstrate God's bigger plan in all of this.  I've now helped launch the AzureWell line of supplements, and while continuing to help the line grow, I also have the opportunity to network with more doctors, researchers, herbalists, and others.  As the Lord works things out, I should be able to share a lot of valuable health information with everyone. It's amazing to see Yah work!

Thank you for being on this journey with me, cheering me on, and praying for me,  I'm continually amazed at how God can turn even the darkest circumstances into something good.  Stay tuned!   And if you want to reach out to me directly, I'd love to hear from you!  On this CaringBridge site, go to Ways To Help then click on the Send an Email button below "Keep in touch with Susan".  That would be fun!
