Sue’s Story

Site created on September 8, 2020

In recent weeks Sue has been feeling sick, struggling with her balance, and occasionally falling.  Last week an MRI found a medium-sized tumor growing in her brain. On Thursday Sue will have surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible and a biopsy will be performed.  Her recovery from this surgery is expected to take  at least a month, during which time she will be unable to work and must slowly let her brain "reboot".  Sue is a very strong,  incredibly smart and gracious person, always helping those in need.  She has dedicated her career to the community by working for several non-profit organizations and is currently the Executive Director of a non-profit organization. Sue leads with patience and wisdom well beyond her years and makes every place she is better by her presence.
Sue is facing this challenge with grace and humor, just as she handles other challenges. We want to surround Sue with love and support through this journey. This site was created to keep all updates regarding Sue and her health in one place, and coordinate efforts to help so we don't inadvertently overwhelm Sue, Jace or her son Jaek.
Updates will be  posted here as soon as Sue is out of surgery and information is available.
