Welcome to  the CaringBridge website page for Sue Maxey. Sue is currently hospitalized in Portland, Oregon after having a stroke and multiple seizures,   She is in critical condition.  Currently, no visitors are permitted in the hospital. 


We are using this site to keep family and friends updated . We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Please use this platform  since her email accounts have been shutdown.   Feel free to share this with Sue's friends  and family as we know she has many loved ones but we do not know that we have all the email addresses. Thank you for visiting.

Since covid cases are once again increasing, we have decided to delay services for Sue until the spring, hoping that we will feel more secure about gathering at that time.  Sue will be cremated, and we will have a private family graveside ceremony followed by a public memorial gathering at St. Stephens Episcopal Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday April 9. There will be a brief obituary in the Daily News in Longview soon, and a more complete one on the Dahl/McVicker Funeral Home website.
We hope that many of you will be able to join us in April.
