Journal

Well it has been a week since we have been home and it has been great.  Sue has scheduled appointments with a primary doctor, speech therapist and neurologist in Duluth, these appointments with start this week.  But she certainly seems to be on the road to healing.  She is happy and excited to be back in her garden and taking care of her chickens. We have spent a lot of time walking outdoors, meeting with friends, and taking care of  business stuff.  She has not gotten all of her energy and confidence back, but each day seems to bring improvement.  We will continue to pray and work toward full recovery.

I will get my 2 cents in.  This site has been a crazy blessing to read, I am very humbled.  I am sure I am here because of the powerful prayers and positive intent sent my way by you all- I am proof that prayer works   This experience was taxing, but I am the luckiest girl around to have friends, family, and a husband who I am sure was pushed to his limits.  I can not thank you all enough for being my strength when I had none to be found, and I  thank God for being right by my side walking me through.  I am confident in my recovery due to the care I received and quick thinking of Shane to get me to the hospital to start and the faith I have in God.  Everyday is better and I feel stronger, my thinking is clearer, so I am looking forward to 100 percent recovery and normalcy.  The support Shane received by everyone is overwhelming, thank you all for helping him through.  I will request continued prayer for full recovery, but mainly extra love to Amy, Jacob, Madison, and Shane who lost an amazing husband, dad and brother during this ordeal.  The loss of Chad is what hurts the most.  Love and gratitude to all of you, thank you 1000X over for your support.  My good friend and fat tire buddy Bernice put it best: "if it does not bring peace, joy or the risen Christ, think a different thought" - this is my motto.
