Journal
Dear Friends,
I apologize for the missing post yesterday. I decided to wait until it was official. Yesterday morning, they told us that Susie was being released, but we knew (from the past week experience) not to believe anything until we saw it actually happen!
Well she is officially home. However.....it has come to my attention (anonymous source), that hospitals tend to clear out patients as much as possible before the holidays. My reliable source tells me that Doctors and Nurses want to make sure they have fewer responsibilities on Thanksgiving Day, so they initiate a mass exodus of patient releases the day before Thanksgiving. Of course....the patients' wish to be home for the holiday aids with the process.
That being said, she was released on the early side and really needs some time adjusting. Yesterday was a long travel day for her. The traffic and uncomfortable car ride really put a toll on her body. She is still in danger of infection and still can not keep food down.
I am aware of how many people love this woman and completely understand the need to set eyes on her in order to see for yourselves that she is well. However, let's give her a few more days to adjust. The doctor, and her family, are concerned that the work free holidays will bring an influx of visitors carrying germs and delicious smelling forbidden food.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. None of us could get through this without you! We are thankful for all of you!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!
God is Good!
