Nathan has now been home with us for 136 days, after 136 days in his NICU home.

Our world has expanded because of Nathan. There are a group of people who will now forever be in our family who we didn’t know 272 days ago.

Nathan has been a rockstar. He has rid himself of Cardiology, Urology, and Endocrine. He still sees Pulmonary and GI on occasion but only needed his feeding tube at home for 3 days before we got rid of it. He has long been off his steroids and fluid medication. Because we have been living in a little bubble, he has only had two colds.  It took him awhile to clear one, but he took it like a champ- no steroids or ED visit needed. Thank you to all of our friends who have kept their distance, especially with their snotty kids. We miss you and can’t wait to see you in the summer!

Nathan has regular visits from an occupational therapist to get some physical therapy and gets his monthly injection to protect him some against the RSV virus through the winter. He hates it. So he peed all over the nurse’s glasses last time...

Nathan was a monkey for his first Halloween while the rest of the family were a bunch of bananas. He loves to laugh at his big sister, who calls him “Sweetie” and “Nate.” He loves to eat and is now over 15 lbs. His favorites are butternut squash and apple. He sleeps in his own room- with a nautical theme- and can roll back to front and front to back. No crawling....yet. He laughs hysterically when you tickle his belly. Earlier this month we took him off his night-time oxygen monitor. He’s gone off the monitor grid.

We feel blessed and are incredibly grateful.
