Journal

Hello everyone. Just wanted to update everyone that Steve is doing relatively good these days. He's been pretty busy, he has Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy Mondays and Wednesdays, Acupuncture on Tuesdays and Fridays, and then we go to his primary doctor on Thursdays to make sure his coumadin levels are where they need to be. Back in January, Steve had another seizure, those are so scary to see, but the doc explained that even though he is on anti-seizure medication, he can still have a breakthrough seizure :( We just hate to see Dad in these situations and we can't do anything about them :( As many of you know, Steve used to coach one of the girls basketball teams at Queen of Apostles. One of the parents of the girls, Max Snell, reached out to me and mentioned that the 6th grade girls were going to the championship game. So Stella and I brought Dad, it was such a great time. Stella tried multiple times to get Dad to go to a regular season game, but he wasn't in the mood. I'm glad he wanted to go this time, because they won! The commissioner even brought Dad out and presented him the trophy so he could give it to the girls. It was such a tearjerker moment for us, how long Dad has come since then. I was just remembering last night how Steve was not able to swallow a year ago and had to get a feeding tube placed in his stomach. Now he can't stop eating pumpkin pie! Below is a link of the video I took of Dad's speech at the bball game. I admire you so much, Dad! http://youtu.be/vrjzbnKEBo0
