Hello family and friends! As many of you know, we're embarking on a journey that I am pretty sure none of us planned for! I started this page to help my parents share updates easily and for all of you  to communicate easily with them. That's one of the toughest parts of this process - - how to inform everyone! My dad, a.k.a. Steve, John, The Lad, Mr. Kinney, Mr. Steve, Hey You, Papa and a few other names, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  A shock for sure to all of us. Dad's always been tough and strong and not the one we ever thought would be facing the cancer battle. His symptoms came on quick with a loss of energy, appetite, jaundice and extreme itching.  After many tests, a hospital stay to insert a stint to start the bile moving again, he's home and resting. While the itching and loss of appetite/energy continue, he still continues to be the Steve you all know, and the dad that I know. I am so blessed I could spend a few days in Florida with him, my mom, and Kelsey. Just completing the paper work to visit the Moffitt Cancer was a 4-person job and took some time! Oh those questions.  I am wondering if they added some purposefully for comic relief!! :) They have their first visit on Thursday to the Center. From there we will know our options and next steps. In the meantime, all prayers and good wishes are welcome! I will work to keep this site updated.
