Steve’s Story

Site created on March 19, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Thank you for visiting! We will be using this site to keep family and friends updated on how Steve is doing.

On Tuesday, March 16, Steve had a ruptured aneurysm. He was quickly rushed to the hospital. He had a successful procedure on March 17 for the ruptured aneurysm. He's currently in the ICU, and he will be there for a few more days. Considering all he has been through, Steve is doing really well! He is able to carry on conversations and is awake and alert. Please help us by leaving him encouraging notes to aid him in his recovery. We look forward to updating you on his progress. Thank you in advance for your caring attention for Steve. Oh, and I think we can all agree he will likely claim that his intelligence was so enormous his head could not contain it. Don’t be fooled!

Good news! Steve was transitioned home on Tuesday and is doing well. 😊 He still has some intense therapy ahead, but he's making good progress.

If you want to call or visit him in person, please contact Maggie ahead of time to make sure he's up for it. He'll need to get back into the social swing of things gently so he doesn't become overwhelmed. I'm sure he's going to be really happy to see and talk with everyone. 😃

As always, thank you for your support and for caring so much about Steve, Maggie, and the whole family. ❤️
