Dear Friends and Family:

I expect this will be the last posting for Stephanie's site.

We had a lovely visitation on Friday and a beautiful Funeral Mass on Saturday.  Fr. Reid's homily was very personal and touching.  Thank you to all who were able to join us, especially those who traveled to make it.  Thank you also to all who sent flowers from near and far.  They filled up the funeral home, and were used at St. Ann and the cemetery the next day.  And thank you for the donations that have been made to the Daughters of the Virgin Mother and to Miravia.

I want to take this opportunity to let you know how much your support has meant, and will continue to mean, to me.  There is no way we would have made it through the past six months without your prayers, support, and assistance.  And there is no way I will make it through the upcoming months without the continued prayers and support.  I turn into a puddle every time I think about how generous everyone has been with their time, love, and support.  I suspect it will take me some time to figure out our new normal at the Kaufmann household, and I know it will be bumpy at times, but all of your support will make it that much easier and bearable.  I owe a debt of gratitude to so many people and I fear I will never be able to repay it.  There have been (and will continue to be) countless meals for our family and rides for Kate.  It will be 2025 before I have to do serious laundry or pay for a DoorDash/UberEats or other outings to restaurants.  And the Kaufmanns have been in more prayers than I could possibly estimate.  The offers and acts of kindness have had no limit.  I honestly do not know how to express how much all of it has meant to our family.  Please just know how thankful I am.

I know that Stephanie is praying for each and every one of us.  I am the luckiest man alive to have had the blessing to share almost 26 years of marriage with her.  May she rest in peace.
