Journal entry by Quentin Bunnell

Stella Joy Bunnell went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 13th, 2019 at 4:42 PM. After much prayer and seeking of wisdom we decided to remove Stella's support instead choosing to give her a life absent of disease and disorder and go to heaven where she can run, laugh, and experience the life she was meant to live. Our prayer for Stella from the beginning was that she would be a light to the world. Beth and I think Stella crushed that and God used her to bring the best out of Beth and I.

While the following days, weeks, months, and even years will be filled with grief and wondering what would have been, we will continue to be thankful for the 50 days we got to spend with her. I think the hardest thing for me is realizing all the hopes and dreams for me as a father and for her will never be true. I wish I could watch her grow, laugh, and be all that God intended her to be.

Not much more to say, but we are continuing to worship our good Father despite not understanding why we had to go through all this. It is crazy to think that she entered the world 7 weeks ago and never even reached her original due date.

Yesterday, we made a garden outside of our apartment for Stella in her memory and it was so great to build something beautiful for her. Tomorrow on Sunday, June 16th at 11:30 AM we will be having a short memorial service at Aletheia Church - Providence. Please feel free to join us for the whole church service at 10 AM, but if you can't make it please join us at 11:30 AM.
