Journal entry by Katey Anderson —
Unlike usual, we are going to treat today by the proper date! SAM COMES HOME TODAY! So much excitement and nerves are spreading throughout our family for his discharge. Even though Sam is pretty much walking on his own, and is pretty much himself it is scary to think of him coming home after all this time. While Sam is still healing from his brain injury, he will have outpatient therapy and a program with us at home as well. As well as this being said, Sam may not want to go out for long hours, or everyday but he may want to get out and about as well. We don't know how early on Sam is thinking about starting this, but it will occur sooner and later. We thank you all for the support we had while we battled with him in the hospitals, and please continue to do so while he is at home. He is not fully healed, but way better than he was before. Thank you for all the prayers that everyone sent, we truly believe that every single one was heard and helped him heal that much faster and healthier. Love you all!
