Stacy Lynne Martin was born in Tuscan, Arizona on 6 September 1965 and passed away in Winchester, Virginia on 11 February 2021.  She is survived by her mother, Margaret Lynne Martin, her siblings, Gregory Allen Martin and Lisa Martin Maloney, and her fur child, Raja the cat.

If you were to remember Stacy based on her profession, you would know that she worked at Arthur Andersen in tax and for wineries in the Napa and Sonoma valleys for most of her adult life, including Francis Coppola, Kendal Jackson, St. Francis, and Treasury Wine Estates. If you were to remember her based on the many medical challenges she faced throughout her life, you would know that she suffered from Type 2 Diabetes with several complications, including end stage renal disease for the last four years of her life. However, this would not come close to telling you who Stacy was.

Stacy was a generous and loving person who enjoyed giving gifts to and doing favors for family, friends and co-workers; throwing big, fancy parties to celebrate life and performing random acts of kindness just to make a better day for total strangers.  She was cheerful and optimistic, showing enduring strength in the face of the challenges she faced.  She loved walking, and in later times just being on the Pacific coast, enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the wild flowers growing on the headlands.  Her favorite place to relax and enjoy life was the Bodega Bay headlands.  After moving to Virginia, Stacy loved the beauty of fresh, colorful flowers; the enjoyment of watching the birds, deer and other wildlife on the property; and the relaxation of coloring wildlife and nature scenes.  She gifted homemade baked goods and sauces to neighbors during the holidays and enjoyed spending time talking and sharing experiences with them in spite of her medical limitations.

In memory and honor of Stacy, please perform an unexpected act of kindness and generosity.  If you wish to share memories of Stacy and stroll along the Sonoma Coast on August 28 please email ChooseKindness@jonesusa.org
