Stacie completed whole brain radiation at the end of June. She was able to complete all 15 treatments. Since her compaction of radiation treatments, she did not see any clinical improvement with her mobility or vision. She had a brain MRI on August 24th to see if the cancer responded to the radiation. Unfortunately, results showed abnormal enhancement with little to no improvements tumors in her brain.

With all treatment options exhausted, Stacie admitted to Hospice of the Red River Valley on Friday, August 25th and was receiving services at home. She is still having double/blurred vision and seen an eye specialist who was able to tape her glasses to help with this. She still gets easily fatigued and dizzy when sitting up to long. Her legs are getting weaker and having a hard time getting around at home. Stacie decided she would feel more comfortable in a care center.  On September 26th, Stacie moved into Fargo Elim. The same care center I work and my mom lives. Though she enjoys being close to mom, she misses her kiddos. The boys came to see her new room today. Kara now has her driver’s license and enjoys driving to Fargo. Even though her body is failing, her faith remains strong. She enjoys visiting, watching television and watching the kids.
