Journal entry by Karen Zajick —
Well, since everyone noticed my new hair do, I guess this is my 'coming out' story... Yes, I did it for a reason. So please do not flood my phone with texts or calls because, on top of everything else I still have a TBI brain injury. My brain can not handle the extra stimulation. In March/April I was diagnosed with colon cancer which spread to my liver. I'm not putting it on here for sympathy because that's not how I roll. I'm actually trying to stop the Spanish Inquiry 😉 Know this, though... I've been surrounded by cancer my whole life and the people who have had it have been wonderful examples of how to deal with it: one day at a time and just to live a normal life. So that is what I'm doing. I'm getting my 4th treatment of chemo/immunotherapy this week and I don't know how many I will be getting because I'm not asking questions. I'm just going and doing what I need to do this week. If you have questions, you can call my doctor's at Penn 😊 I'm just living the dream, people... Peacefully and without worry. So don't you worry, either 😘
