Springs endoscopy went good Monday morning. Doc says it looks great and removed 2 major drainage tubes that have made bathroom trips and everything much easier. She does have a "Chylous leak" ,which is common and easily remedied, from the surgery which is causing some abdominal bloating but should go away quickly with the proper tube feed nutrition. (Chylous/lymphatic system leakage is from removing a couple lymph nodes and having a small leak by.)Still at this point Spring is not quite up to visits for now but she wanted to say how much she loves you all and appreciates the support!

The past couple days after Spring had her endoscopy she had some issues with her o2 levels. The Chylous syndrome issue is all fixed by the feeding tube nutrition but her breathing became more and more laborious. After every trip to the bathroom she was out of breath and her oxygen numbers were not good. That's why she hasn’t been feeling good enough for visitors. The doctors sent her for a ct scan to check her lungs and look for possible blood clots. The good news is no clots, the not great news is her lungs are quite wet with fluid and rigid, for a lack of a better word, making them less efficient to convert o2 to the body. The diagnosis is "A.R.D.S." They are very happy they got to it in the early stages and have moved her back up to the surgical icu. Here she can be more closely watched with a higher nurse-to-patient ratio. The cause of the condition is unknown still. They are treating with antibiotics in case of infection, which may take another day for the cultures to prove. Love you all much and will do my best to keep you all updated!
