Newest Update

Journal entry by Rebecca Burdine

12pm - Sorry for the late update. They let us out of the hospital late on Monday. We're trying to catch up on sleep and get the house and jobs and such back in order. Sophie is in good spirits, but she usually is. She does seem less uncomfortable overall compared to our first discharge, so that is a positive. She has a vacuum bandage on the incision and will remain on high powered antibiotics for a few weeks. We go back for more assessment next Monday. Fingers crossed we stay out of the hospital! For your enjoyment a picture of Sophie with Oakley (the sitter's dog) enjoying the back porch after the sprinkler.  Sophie's skin is so sensitive, you can see where the IV caused her skin to break down on her left arm. Ouch!
