Thank you for your support in the past year. Many of you have asked and A.J. and I are doing okay- we are okay and still actively processing everything.
I so miss Sonny's signature smile and hearing "Love you!" at the end of our phone conversations. I miss seeing him stand in front of the fridge for 10 minutes deciding what to eat. I miss how he left crumbs on the counter after fixing something to eat. I miss how he let the cats knead and lay on him right after he announced he didn't like cats. At the same time, I am grateful he is at peace. I am confident that Sonny is not resting in peace but is alive and active in peace. He has endless smooth paths to explore on his longboard, so many people to welcome and chat up, divine music to listen to, and no pain.

Peace Prayer Attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
