Hello friends and family, 

Shirley has been doing well, and has gotten settled back in at Bethany Lutheran Home in a new room now that she is receiving comfort care. She has been talkative and in good spirits. She is eating well and enjoying reading her bible.

She has been most comfortable lying in bed, but has been able to get into her chair a few times as well. The nurses have  noticed how sweet and kind she is and love checking in with her.  There are still no visitors allowed in order to protect the vulnerable patients at the facility, but please keep sending cards and pictures. The staff members there have been great about making sure that your greetings get to her.
