Hello! She discharged home on Monday and is overall doing well! Taking it easy and not overdoing it. The pathology came back and it is a liposarcoma that ended up being 14cm. They told us they got clean margins of it which is typically the treatment! Which is what we could hope for! My mom will have follow up appointments in 2 weeks at the Mayo with a medical oncologist and repeat scan to see what the next steps are and what other types of treatments she may need! Hopefully it is minimal and only to prevent future tumors from developing. The biggest hurdle was the surgery and that’s behind us, so just hoping for a speedy recovery.
