Journal entry by Sharleen Craig —
Half way there, I have officially made it through half of my chemotherapy. So far I have done very well with manageable side effects. On April 15th, I am scheduled to start a chemotherapy known as Taxol. I will have four cycles over eight weeks. The side effects of this therapy will be very different and I am hoping for the best.
It has now been two years since I lost my sister to breast cancer (20 years since Mom passed from it), I am fortunate and grateful to be in a position that I have a 95% chance of beating this cancer and that is my goal. It is amazing how far medicine has come and what it can overcome. That being said, breast cancer effects so many of us. Please be aware of your own health and your families health. Support the efforts to find a cure.
My family and friends have been very helpful and support me every step of the way and I am grateful for all of the support.
