Journal entry by Shannon Miller —
Hi everyone. It’s been a while….
Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the eviction of Tami and Lizzie. Woot woot. Since then I’ve completed radiation and just had my final follow up with my radiation oncologist. She is very lovely woman but I don’t plan on ever seeing her again. In August I had my first round of scans that all came back clear and in the next few weeks I will have another round. This time I have to go back into the torture chamber that is the breast MRI. Yippy I can’t wait.
In October, I opted to have an oophorectomy, which by far is the Best.Word.Ever! The surgeon removed my ovaries and fallopian tubes, permanently stopping all estrogen production. So no more food for any of Tami or Lizzie’s friends. It was surgery or going to the doctor for a shot in my bum once a month for the next 5-7 years.
Things are going well and now my only goal is to gain back all energy and strength I lost due to treatments and my general pandemic laziness. Starting with a celebratory dinner for my “boobiversary” tonight.
Have a great evening and love ya lots.
Shannon.
