Shannon’s Story

Site created on December 16, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Over the last several months I’ve had difficulty breathing with increasing shortness of breath. With my underlying scleroderma it has prompted many tests and discussions about the condition of my heart and lungs.

I’ve begun the work up with the U of M and Mayo Clinic for the possibility of a double lung transplant. It’s a been a long several months and I’m currently at the U of M being assessed with many tests and doctor appointments to see if I qualify for their lung transplant program. I should know more in early 2020 about the next steps.

I’m optimistic good things are in store for me in 2020. Thank you for visiting - your support is what makes my days brighter! Sending love, light, and joy to all of you.
