Journal entry by Christine Cunningham

One more bronscopy, done, breathing easier.  I asked for a C.F. vest and we got a new bed, deluxe.  His legs and feet now have room to reach the end of the bed and then some.  It pounds, shimmies, and turns his body.  The pounding and shimmying stir up the secretions so they can be suctioned put.  After a session last night two plugs were suctioned out, freeing up his airways.  He went almost a week without a fever.  I came in yesterday...fever.  I was so disappointed.  He hates the bed.  It's scary to him when the pounding cycle starts.  It's high off the ground and makes him anxious.  Maybe his body will adjust in a day or two.
