Journal entry by Claire Keifer —
We are relieved and happy to report some good news from Scott's Doctor after we spoke with him earlier today. Scott's MRI looks positive, and the results compared to his last scan are what Dr. Leuthardt would hope to see. The laser ablation appears to have worked because the area of the tumor which was heated & shrunk has not grown 👍 The "ambiguous" spot that they discovered during his March surgery has not changed in size or configuration, nor does it appear to be malignant. At this time, nothing more is needed for this phase of tumor management. Our job is to continue to be vigilant with his symptoms and communicate any changes with the doctor over the next 3 months. At that time, Scott will have another MRI and Dr. Leuthardt's hope moving forward is for us to have a "long and boring" relationship with him ❤️ Sign us up!
Thank you, especially over the last 24 hours, for the extra wave of thoughts and prayers! Scott, myself and our kids are so relieved with this news, excited to move away from the constant thoughts and grateful to all of you for caring about him so much. We will be quiet again now but please know how much your support has walked us through these last 5 months.
