We just received an email from Dr. Sherry Krayesky-Self at ULL concerning a remembrance gathering for Scott in Lafayette.  We have copied her email below.

Greetings

Doubtless, we were all deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Scott Duke-Sylvester's recent passing. On May 18th in the UL, Lafayette Alumni Center (located at 600 E St Mary Blvd, Lafayette, LA 70503) from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, his family, friends and colleagues will gather in a Remembrance to reflect on how he has touched all of our lives. The Department of Biology at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette will host this event. We cordially invite everyone to join us. Dr. Duke-Sylvester's family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his memory to the Audubon Society of Louisiana (this link will take you to a page where such a donation can be made in his name. Note that it is not necessary to create an account unless you wish to expedite future donations).
