Scott’s Story

Site created on April 9, 2022

On April 6th, Scott was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and had to seek emergency treatment at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. He had to have several emergency procedures including blood transfusions. This page is being set up to help keep friends and family informed about his treatment, condition, and progress.

"But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 30:17

Journal entry by Alexandra Brewer

For those that don’t know, on Wednesday afternoon (1/17/24), my mom fell at home and fractured her sacrum in multiple places. The good news is the bones are still in alignment and she will not require surgery. The bad news is that it may take her up to 3 months to recover. She is currently in the hospital and will likely be transferred to a rehab facility in the next few days. We are not sure how long she will be in rehab, but the doctors assured us that while the healing process will be painful, she should fully recover with no lasting side effects. Right now our biggest hurdle is getting her comfortable enough to be able to walk. Once she is in rehab, I am sure she would appreciate visitors. While we were in the emergency room on Wednesday, we got a call from my dad’s oncologist that his blood work came back negative for cancer and he is still in remission. They still want him to have a CT scan in February to continue monitoring how he is doing. Please keep our family in your prayers during this time. Thank you for all of your support.
