Greetings Scott's Prayer Partners.

Wanted to wrap up the last 3 months of his recovery.
After 3 miserable weeks at Regency, Scott was moved to North Ridge Medical Rehab in new Hope.

This was a God send! This facility is well staffed with many capable, caring, compassionate nurses & Doctors. Night & Day compared to the previous 3 weeks at Regency.

Here Scott has recovered significantly, day by day. Literally, every day there was noticable improvements. They worked with him daily. He first began to sit up in bed. Then he relearned how to stand up. Moved to a wheelchair to get to physical & occupational therapy, where he developed a nice relationship with his therapist. They worked well together.

After a few weeks of therapy, he was able to start taking a few steps, then more steps untill he now is walking with a cane. Hallaluya & praise God. He has been able to sit in a shower, got a haircut - shave, feeling better about himself. This past week the trach was removed to his delight.

He will be released in the next week or so where he will continue to get outpatient PT & OT. This may last 2 to 3 weeks. Then off to his new residence in September.

This has been quite the Journey from ICU to the place he is in now. We are so grateful for the prayers & support, many of you checking in with Patti and myself, along with friends & family visiting him to cheer him up & offer encouragement.

Again our sincere thanks for being along side us & Scott. We praise the good Lord for his intersession & healing grace. Finally to the wonderful staff at HCMC and now at North Ridge. Scott will be off to a new beginning in his life.
Gratefully
Doug & Patti
