Journal entry by Lisa Adams

As most of you know already we lost Scott on February 14th. The dr came in that morning and talked with me and Karen and told us that Scott was just continuing to get weaker instead of stronger and he did not think he would ever be able to get a transplant and he thought we should just stop all the machines. Karen and I started making calls to get the family to the hospital. Once everyone was there the nurses started to cut the ecmo machine off and Scott passed away quickly. They never turned the ventilator down. It made me feel better about my decision to cut everything off when he passed so quickly. His work here was done. We laid him to rest yesterday. Please pray for me, our kids, his mom and dad, his sisters, Bentley and the rest of the family in the following days! David our son and Brooke our daughter in law has been staying with me at night. Bentley stayed with me last night.
