Wanted to send out a quick update on Sawyer the Warrior on the one year anniversary of his accident and surgery. 

Sawyer is doing great and we spent part of the day today visiting the hospital and staff that cared for him last year. He is an amazing little boy with so much energy and joy. We feel very blessed that he has come so far in such a short amount of time and made sure the staff at Advocate Children’s knows how grateful we are for their care. 

He will begin Kindergarten next month and should be able to have a mostly normal school day with some additional help where needed. He is still working hard to make a full recovery and has many people in his corner to help.

Thanks again for all the thoughts, prayers and help we received this year. We are forever thankful and humbled by the love shown to us by our family and friends.
